Holocaust Survivors

 

The program aims to support Holocaust Survivors in their daily life.  

This is accomplished through home visits and practical assistance such as apartment repair, social assistance, and help nagivating government agencies. The clients have access to our distribution  center for clothes, food and other useful items.

 

Many of the older people are living alone and suffer from the isolation. Machaseh organizes social events including trips, concerts, group meetings and feasts.  They are provided with a place where they are seen and heard.

A special aspect of this project is a partnership with a local school. Overseen by the team's  psychologist, the project brings the elderly and children together, to inspire and learn from one another.
